Specifications: The EXTRACTOR, All Purpose Diamond Rescue Blades.
These blades are ready to use, no prep work is needed.  12”, 14” and 16” diameters are specifically made for gas cutoff saws and fit K-12’s, and many other rescue saws.  It has a steel core body with vacuum brazed diamonds and a variable arbor, 20mm or tap out spacer to make it fit a 1” arbor.   4”and 4.5” diameters go on angle grinders.

EXTRACTOR cuts these material extremely fast: Auto Bodies, Steel Guard Rails up to 5/8”, Stainless Steel, Ductile Iron Pipe, Reinforced Concrete with Re-bar,  Hurricane Glass, Security Glass, Fiberglass, PVC, Aluminum, Copper, Brass, Roof Materials, Cinder Block, Hard Brick, Roofing Tile, Floor Tile.  It also cuts ¾”Plywood and 2”x 4”s.  Our Roof Ripper Blade is the blade to use for tires or railroad ties, not the EXTRACTOR.

IMPORTANTALWAYS USE SAFETY GLASSES & PROTECTIVE GEAR WHEN CUTTING!!!  DO NOT BREATH IN THE DUST!!!

Tips to achieve the fastest cutting; and longest blade life:

  • Blade Must Turn In Direction As Arrow Stamped On It.
  • EXTRACTORS are not fragile blades like the abrasive blades.  Cut with confidence, some pressure can be applied to increase cut speed.
  • Use high rpm, so blade doesn’t bog down in cut.  When possible, keep blade straight and perpendicular to the cut.
  • If the saw begins to bog down in the cut try leaving the blade in the cut but quickly release pressure by raising it a bit from the point of contact, this generally lets the blade spin back up to high rpm’s quickly.
  • When finished cutting: NEVER STOP THE BLADES SPINNING BY STICKING INTO SOMETHING STOP IT!!  THIS SHORTENS THE LIFE OF THE BLADE.
  • When cutting soft materials like aluminum, copper or brass the diamond edge of the blade may glaze up a little, if this happens, stick the tip of the blade, while spinning at high rpm, into asphalt, concrete block, brick, or the road surface to deglaze (remove debris and expose the diamonds) the blade for maximum cutting performance.

I would appreciate hearing feedback from your firefighters as to how they’ve found the EXTRACTORs' performance in an emergency.  And, please pass my contact information onto other fire departments, they’ll be glad you did it.
